Newest EA patch causing graphic issues in Laptop mode

Hello Simmers!

Well, EA did it again 😖

We just got reported (Danke, Lina ♥) that some of our glowy effect files are not working anymore in Laptop mode. If you do not play in Laptop mode, you can skip all this talk and be happy 😄

However, if you play in Laptop mode, your game will show some flickering red planes instead of some lighting effects.

Over our 6000 files, we saw around 30 needed to be fixed. 

Black cats do give luck, because we found out our old Black cat lamp has this effect and works even on laptop mode. We will be cloning this cat lamp to create further lamps and have as much as possible fixed.

The thing is related to an additive shader, most related to lamps and neons. The wall trees with lights from our Magic Meadows fairy set are the first ones to be fixed but, sadly, we can't add ourselves the instance which prevents these red planes to flicker instead of the additive light effect in all files we want. 

We will be recloning each wall lamp, and see if we can fix other kinds of lamps as well. But we can't fix our acrylic violin since we can't add this instance, only clone an existing base that carries it. 

Sorry for this inconvenience but again... it's not our fault.

October 6th 2025 - Both Wall Tree Lamps from Magic Meadows set are working in Laptop mode now.

November 20th 2025 - Both Wall Neons from Punk Pitstop set are working in Laptop mode now.
